To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Beijing and Tokyo, the Tokyo "Beijing Week" event, sponsored by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, was held at the Akihabara Convention and Exhibition Center in Tokyo, Japan, during the Dragon Boat Festival (June 7 to June 9). As the designer, ATB.UNIT provided comprehensive integrated services such as concept planning, visual design, interior design, program development and site construction management for this event.
The "Beijing Week" series of activities include "Beijing Night" artistic performance, "Charming Beijing" cultural tourism promotion, Beijing Winter Olympics presentation, Zhongguancun science and technology innovation theme promotion, Beijing Cultural and creative industry explanation and negotiation. The on-site production of intangible cultural heritage handicraft products, tasting of special snacks, viewing of artistic performances, etc., attracted a large number of local tourists and enhanced the cultural exchanges between the two cities. As the designer, ATB.UNIT provides the exhibition with a full range of integrated services such as visual graphic design, interior exhibition design and site construction management. Visiting member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee CAI Qi, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike and other officials attended the relevant activities. The event ended successfully on June 9 local time.
"China and Japan are close neighbors separated by a strip of water. Tokyo is the first international sister city established by Beijing. Over the past 40 years, the two cities have maintained close exchanges and achieved fruitful results in cooperation in various fields, giving full play to the leading role of the capital's exchanges, and making positive contributions to deepening the friendly cooperation between the two countries and deepening the friendship between the two peoples. Cai Qi pointed out that the "Beijing Week" activity is not only to review the unforgettable history and fruitful achievements of the exchanges between the sister cities of the two sides, but also to express the sincere wishes of the people of Beijing to the people of Tokyo.
The on-site activities of "Beijing Week" in Tokyo will showcase the colorful Beijing style and the fusion of the old and the new in China through four theme promotions: special tourism, Winter Olympics, Zhongguancun and science and technology, culture and creativity. You can also participate in the production of intangible cultural heritage, handicrafts and technical products, taste special snacks, and fully appreciate the unique charm of Beijing culture.
